Jeffrey Sachs, a world-renowned economist and a leading expert on sustainable development, will hold a lectio magistralis.


Jeff currently serves as the Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia Universit, after 19 years of professorship at Harvard where he was Director of the Center of International Development at the Kennedy School of Government. A special Adviser to United Nations Secretary General, under both Ban Ki-Moon and Kofi Annan leadership, he authored five books, including three New York Times bestsellers: The End of Poverty (2005), Common Wealth (2008) and The Price of Civilization (2011).
